Jaap Stam in?
Probably bullshit, but something to mull over.

Mirror says we're linked to Stam in the summer. If Bilic were to go, would you be happy with him?

If this has already been done, I am in no way sorry.

Yep cause Reading are going to let us poach another manager of theirs. Is the madjetski fella still involved at Reading?

"Probably bullshit" is too kind - "almost certainly bullshit" would be closer to the mark. I won't be mulling this one.

Dave 1: Well this Bilic has had a good first season and a not so good second season
Dave 2: Yes, lets replace him with someone who has had a decent first season
Dave 1 : Yes, that will really improve things as he will be in his second season
Dave 2: Yes, a good first season is always followed by a better second season
Dave 1. Like with Bilic you mean ?
Dave 2: What?

I have very little confidence in anything Sullivan and Gold do at the club now. Whether Bilic stays or goes, who replaces him,any summer recruits that arrive- I believe next season will be as bad or worse than this one.

Re: Jaap Stam in?
He's had a good start to his managerial career but it's early days. Lots of managers have had an amazing start to their career in the past, been considered the next best thing, and then their career went into reverse and they disappeared back into obscurity.

We could take a punt on Stam if we wanted to, but for me Bilic's second season isn't bad enough to deserve the sack.

51% win ratio and got his current side to 5th in the league. They finished 17th last season. Why he is getting so much stick on here is baffling.

I would be deeply unimpressed at this.

Ok Ranieri didn't win a cup at Chelsea but he came runners up in PL and semi in Champs L and brought in players that went on to win things there.

Re: Jaap Stam in?
This is a smokescreen to deflect criticism from the owners and from any potential real appointment assuming Bilic continues to sink.

The 2bobs won't pay out for the likes of Mancini how will cost more than they would ever contemplate.

My guess would be Ranieri as he wouldn't cost too much and would work on a similar budget to Bilic as he did at Leicester, hence fits with their mandate.

They also will have a massive get out clause if Ranieri were to flop, as appointing Ranieri they would claim they appointed him as they are ambitious want to get in the Champions League or even win the Premier League bla bla and there is no one better than Ranieri who knows how to do it and win cups at Leicester and Chelsea.

Perhaps Ranieri could be good for us, definitely a massive step up from Bilic and is very experienced and looks a better option than many who would come?

This would be a shocker, and you could see them doing it.

They would definitely spend a lot of money on using the same tailor as the emperor as long as said tailor used enough buzzwords that they didn't understand.

Re: Jaap Stam in?
I understand he was only appointed til the end of the season at Hull which will make him a figure of interest to the Skinflick Skinflints.

Re: Jaap Stam in?
IF, and as far as I'm concerned it's a big if, we get rid of Bilic then the club has to stick to their word and appoint an upgrade.

A proven successful Premiership manager who had the pull to attract top players. Not some cunt like Stam who is just completing his first season in management in this country.

Re: Jaap Stam in?
Silva has been impressive at Hull
He took over a team that Phelan had won 6 out of 24 games with and had Snodgrass and Livermore sold from under him.
He has won 5 out of 13 and made them look chances of saving themselves instead of Dead Ducks.
Early days for him but he obviously has something about him.
He and Bilic have both managed about 230 club games. And Silva has about 25 more wins.
